What you need:

Directions:

  1. Dilute the paint with a bit of water and paint both ends of all but one cork. Allow to dry.
  2. Arrange the corks in rows (4 on the bottom, then 5, then 6, then 5, and 4 on the top row) and hot glue them together. For best results, try to match up the corks so they’re the same length in each row.
  3. Take the one remaining cork and cut off part of it with the craft knife. Hot glue it on top as the stem.
  4. Cut leaf shapes from the green felt and hot glue them on around the “stem”.
  5. Tie a short length of twine around the stem to resemble the vine.

Scarecrow Craft for kidsscrawcrow-craft-1

What you need:

Directions:

  1. Lay out 5 jumbo craft sticks side by side and glue them down on top of the piece of cardboard
  2. Glue raffia to the top of the craft sticks in a messy fashion to create the scarecrow’s “hair”
  3. Make your hat: Cut your foam rectangle to the shape of a hat (any shape!) Glue down the strip of foam to the hat and add flower stickers if you’d like.
  4. Glue your hat to the top of the raffia. (This is the last piece that does, so tell the kids to put a good amount of glue on the rafia, use the hat down firmly, then leave it alone.)
