Lace’n It Up 2016

About one in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. Here in Kern County, the Links for Life organization is doing something about it. “Lace’n It Up” is an annual walk that supports a variety of Links for Life resources, including funding for mammograms for uninsured or under-insured women under 40 years of age who live in Kern County.

As a local organization with no federal funding support, all of the money raised by Links for Life stays in Kern County to help women and families affected by breast cancer. This year Castle & Cooke and several of its employees participated in the Lace’n It Up walk to raise money and awareness for women’s breast health. Hear what one of them has to say about the experience and make your plans now to attend next year’s Lace’n It Up event.
